Problem of the Week: #1

Here is our first Problem of the Week (POW). You can earn 2 homework points for posting solutions with a description of how you solve it.
Rabbits and Chickens
Farmer Ben has a rabbit and chicken farm. On his farm there are 140 heads and 466 feet. How many of each animal are there?

The Solution:
93 rabbits and 47 chickens.
Start with 140 heads (draw 140 circles if you want). Then add 2 feet to all the heads (each animal has at least 2 feets). Then continue to add 2 legs until you total 466 feet. Time comsuming, but effective!
