More on Posting for Points

ATTENTION!! VERY IMPORTANT!!
If you are trying to get extra points by making comments, you need to add your comments to the appropriate class date. There is a HIGH probability that if you post your comments on an older entry (like the original posting for points), you won't get credit. I check the posts on a weekly basis to give points, and if you post on something older, it won't be counted.

Some 3 Variable help

SparkNotes: Systems of Three Equations: Solving by Addition and Subtraction
This link has some explanation and examples of solving the dreaded 3 variable systems of equations (x, y, z). Its worth a look. There are practice problems here.

If you need some more help with 2 variable systems, check this out.

Change of plans

I don't feel we are ready for this test. Part of it is due to the complexity of the material, and part of it due to the lack of effort on the student side. I want to give as many opportunities for success, so rather than taking the test today, we will take a group test. This test will be identical to individual test. The individual test will be next Friday, Oct. 14th. This Friday we will go over the group test and get solutions. These will act as your study guide.
I know this is a week later, but I want everyone to have enough time to study and get questions answered. We will continue with the next chapter in class, and our warm-ups will keep some concepts fresh.
Remember, you can get extra points for posting comments. I'm providing opportunities, you need to take advantage of them.

You will only get out as much as you put in.

Here is the practice test if you were absent.
